Who We Are

We are a group of dedicated volunteers who have come together in the Community of Wilton, In Sacramento County with a purpose to make a difference in the lives of young women. We recognize that there is a dire need to provide a program that can facilitate hope and healing in the hearts and minds of young women who have experienced trauma in their young lives. We use horses to provide that opportunity. We are not a horse camp nor are we offering horseback riding lessons. What we do offer is a safe place for teen girls and young women to be mentored by healthy adult women, to be instructed in horsemanship and safety, to experience horses and to learn to handle a horse on the ground as well as in the saddle.

Each weekly lesson the girls are at the ranch, they will have great experiences designed to help them to take off their mask of being “okay” and just be authentic. Through the lessons we have prepared, the girl’s will develop self-confidence, self-worth, self-control, to empower them, to develop leadership, and self-awareness.
